GENERAL & SAFETY RULES
Treat our home as it’s your home. Use all we have to offer, just kindly place it back as it was and where you found it.

1. MAX CAPACITY: 19 people
2. FURNITURES:
We have selected pieces for you to enjoy! Some of the furnitures are from the original 1885 home, please handle them with care and do not move or relocate any of them.
3. BED LINENS, SOFA COVERS & TOWELS:
Please refrain from eating or drinking stain colored drinks on the living room couches, bed quilts or chairs, tenants are responsible for any stains or spills.
4. AIR CONDITIONER (AC):
The aircondition/heater follows a schedule but can be adjusted to your comfort. Please do not put it under 68F as it can make the compressor run continuously causing it to freeze up and stop cooling completely.
Please keep the windows and doors closed when the air conditioner is on. We don't want to strain the AC unit and fail during your stay.
5. DOORS AND WINDOWS:
Never leave the balcony door or any windows with no screen open to prevent birds and other insects from coming in.
6. CHILDREN' SAFETY:
This house is not child proof, always watch young children around the house.
* the screen windows will not protect children falling
* the front door is heavy & need adult supervision
* never leave young children unattended.

7. CAREFUL DRIVING:
When driving out of the side parking space, please go very carefully as that side street gets very busy with bikers and pedestrian during summertime.

FYI - Beach Haven traffic patrols are very strict with speed limits - drive safely!
8. FIRE SAFETY:
Make sure to turn off the oven and grill after every use.
Strictly no candles or portable fire pits allowed in the lot.
NO smoking is allowed in the house nor the premises.

For fire emergencies, leave the house immediately and call 9-1-1.
For small kitchen/grill fires, we have fire extinguishers and fire blankets visibly displayed in the kitchen/mudroom.
9."LET'S KEEP THE SAND AND STONES IN THE BEACH":
Please wash off sand from your clothes, shoes and towels prior to entering the house.

All towels and clothes should be free of sand prior to putting them in the washing machine as this has caused undue damage in the past.
11. TOILET:
Please do not dispose any baby wipes (including disposable type), feminine products or other items in the toilet as it may cause back up of the sewer line.
10. DRYING TOWELS:
This house is part of the historical society that is shown to town visitors. No one is allowed to hang towels on the railings. We have provided an outdoor towel rack for your use and some hooks on the back of the house.
12. RECYCLING:
Beach Haven has strict recycling rules. Instructions are posted in the mudroom.
* PIZZA BOXES ARE NOT RECYCLABLE IN BEACH HAVEN !
* Do not put recyclables in plastic bags - this will result in a fine from the township.
13. NOISE REGULATION:
All municipalities have noise ordinances that are strictly enforced, especially between 10:00 pm – 7:00 am.
